STEP 1

REMOVE OLD DRESSING
If dressing is adherent to the wound bed, you may use NeutroPhase to loosen and remove the dressing or follow your institution’s protocol for this process.
NeutroPhase may also be used for initial irrigation of wound bed to remove any debris / slough / exudate and during debridement to flush wound.

STEP 2

INSERT SPRAY PUMP
Replace original lid with spray applicator (screw on snugly).

STEP 3

SPRAY ENTIRE WOUND BED
Upon initial presentation, spray wound to include walls, base and periwound area. Moisten, but do not saturate wound.
Hold bottle approximately 5 inches from wound when spraying. No rinsing necessary following application.

STEP 4

DEBRIDEMENT
Spray wound frequently during debridement. When using NeutroPhase, frequent contact is more effective than volume. Using less more frequently is also more effective than large dose, single applications.

STEP 5

APPLY NEW DRESSING
Following debridement and prior to applying a new dressing, spray both the prepared wound and the dressing with NeutroPhase. If applying an antibiotic ointment, this would follow application of NeutroPhase. Apply new dressing as usual.
